| We are pleased to announce the award of two significant grants that will support important equipment and facility improvements for our department and the community we serve.
We have been awarded $27,142 through FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program for the purchase of new thermal imaging cameras. These cameras are an important tool used during emergency operations, helping firefighters locate victims, identify hidden fire conditions, and improve firefighter safety.
We have also been awarded $1,000,000 through the New York State V-FIRE Grant Program for renovations and improvements to Station 1. This funding will help support needed improvements to the station and ensure the facility continues to meet the operational needs of our members and the community for years to come.
